Hi chrisstina!  I'm kind of new as well on Momster, welcome!  I use allrecipes.com when I'm hunting for something.  I put in "kid's cupcakes" and a bunch of stuff came back - - froggy cupcakes, ice cream cone cupcakes. 

What I really like about the site is that you can update the # of servings and it automatically updates the proportion sizes of the ingredients for you....and I also like that all recipes have a rating from folks who have tried them. 

I do suggest if you end up using this site to go ahead and register (which is free).  It has a handy recipe box online so you can store the cupcake recipe if you really like it. 

I sound like a commercial for their website !  :)  Good luck and hope the birthday party is a blast.

 There are some very cute cupcake stands out there, and yummy frosting recipes.  Cool whip is fun to use as frosting too, it's not so sweet or you can use sugar free.
